01 Design Philosophy:

I see fashion as a powerful expression of identity, and I learned at an early age that simply getting dressed was a radical act of wellness. To me, fashion has always been a statement of truth, providing a spark of inspiration, innovation, and identity. It is a silent yet bold declaration of freedom that has played an iconic role in all of our lives. Being a catalyst for that spark––that joy-filled day-to-day moment of bliss or rebellion––is at the heart of my passion for this craft.
As a designer, I see the world through the lens of color, silhouettes, fit, and ever-evolving trends. I’m obsessed with the "why" of style and how it has been reinterpreted over time. I love exploring and learning every aspect of the process, always eager to discover what personal style awakens in us and what makes the consumer feel seen and powerful. As an immigrant (where cultural lines are always blurred), I enjoy being a constant observer -- a fly on the wall within a multitude of subcultures --finding beauty in all forms, whether it's in a shanty town in Jamaica or on the streets of Paris.
I have seen the world and fallen in love with every facet of its story.

As a professional fashion designer, my approach is rooted in the belief that true innovation transcends the polished aesthetics of studio photos and retouched products. At the core of my creative philosophy is a deep-seated passion for the process itself—the journey from concept to creation. Shoes, with their intricate details and diverse styles, serve as a pivotal source of inspiration in my work. They are not just accessories but muses that challenge my creativity and perspective.
Harnessing the dynamic capabilities of the Procreate app, I've embarked on a unique journey of growth and exploration through one-day fashion design challenges. These challenges are more than exercises; they are a testament to the agility and responsiveness that fashion demands in the digital age. Each day presents a new opportunity to blend traditional design principles with the boundless possibilities of digital artistry, allowing me to refine my skills, adapt to emerging trends, and push the boundaries of what is possible.
In my design process, every stroke on the Procreate app is a step towards honing my craft, with shoes often dictating the rhythm. This deliberate focus on rapid conceptualization and execution has not only sharpened my technical abilities but also deepened my understanding of fashion as a form of communication. It's a journey of continuous learning, where each challenge is a new chapter in my ever-evolving narrative as a designer, proving that in the world of fashion design, it's the process that truly defines the product.
